The violent Streets of Copenhagen

On Wednesday, April 22, 2009, a schoolteacher of Egyptian heritage and respected member of the Nørrebro, Copenhagen community was gunned down in wide daylight outdoors his residence by suspected members of an ethnically Danish bike gang. He survived the four shots from an automated weapon levied by the passenger on a stolen bike, later on discovered burned in the city of Ringsted, some ninety kilometers (~50 miles) absent. In what police officials phone a retaliatory action, a hand grenade was thrown around midnight Thursday into an innocent group making the most of a beer by Nemo’s Café in the controversial fristaden (egalitarian) Christiania district of Copenhagen. Five sustained accidents, such as a single who misplaced his jaw bone. Miraculously no one died. In accordance to forensic police officials this kind of a hand grenade is intended to have a destroy zone of twenty meters (some seven yards). The next day, Friday afternoon, a luxury jeep in the wealthy and unique Hellerup district of Copenhagen, driven by a person who looked Muslim, was dramatically surrounded by a youthful group of Hell’s Angel aspirants members of the AK 81 who, with clubs, smashed the windshield and door windows, and started attacking the driver and passenger. Considering that it is a greatly trafficked region and occurred in broad daylight, with unique outlets significantly like LA’s Rodeo Generate, the perpetrators rapidly dispersed The accessoire was captured by video (see author’s video clip beneath) when a private protection agency just then happened to be testing a new

What can I do with a bachelor degree in Criminal Justice?

Query by David K: What can I do with a bachelor degree in Criminal Justice?
Before you say it’s ineffective, this is what I’m pursuing, and this is what I am interested in. I know you never want a degree to become a police officer, and I will not think I’m qualify for it anyways because of my peak, weight and bodily visual appeal. I’m intrigued in turning out to be 1 of individuals investigators in crime scene. I do not brain seeing lifeless bodies and blood staying splattered, collecting disgusting proof, so I believe this is the best career to get into. I am 23 12 months previous getting a AA degree in pc assistance professional, but I recognized I’m far more intrigued in the criminal justice subject. I study some of the requirements for a crime investigator, and it states (Graduation from an accredited school or college with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Forensic Science or closely related science discipline (proof essential)* in accordance with The American Culture of Crime Laboratory Directors/Laboratory Accreditation Board (ASCLD/LAB).
As you see, the degree that is outlined has practically nothing to do with the criminal justice field. I want to know if pursuing criminal justice as a job will be a full waste of time? I honestly never know what to do with my life, but for the past number of many years, this is the occupation that I’m mostly interested in. I have no experience whatsoever, but because I am heading to a university to transfer and main in criminal justice, ideally there will be much more chances and operate encounter that will open far more doors for me. I can’t major in computer science, psychology, political science, chemistry and so forth. because it will get me a long time and a long time to total, and I am a extremely gradual learner. Make sure you, any assist is appreciated or somebody that have extremely insightful data that can support me with my future.

degrees are often over mentioned as to law enforcement. several departments require a degree but it does not make a difference what the diploma is.if you have a degree within your get to then you really should do every little thing in your energy to receive it.even with a degree you will have to go thru the exact same academy and schooling as a individual with just a GED..if you want to specialize in a certain region then a degree in that place will aid you significantly.

Q&A: Which degree is better if I might have an interest in social work; psychology or behavioral science?

Question by Mrs J: Which degree is better if I might have an interest in social work; psychology or behavioral science?
I’m currently undecided as to what profession I would like to go into… I’m interested in psychology, but I have heard that you cannot do much with an AA degree in this field. I am very open to doing a double major and am very committed. I would like to pursue a BA in the future (and possibly a masters), but just in case things don’t work out financially, I want to earn an the best double associates possible. Of the courses I am interested in at the college Im attending, which of the following do you think would open the most doors career-wise/financially:
Psychology or Behavioral Science+ (one of the following as a companion)
Criminal Justice, Social and Behavioral Science, Business Administration, Human Services, Sociology, or History
I am interested in things like certain types of social work, possibly counseling, (I love history, but do not want to teach) working with criminals to analyze behavior (though I do not have an interest in “just” being a police officer), and I enjoy working in certain types of business. Advanced math is not one of my strong suites, but I did well in my finance class in high school, so I really don’t want to crunch numbers ALL day- as in accounting. I also really enjoyed taking sociology, something about all those statistics fascinate me.
When it boils down to it, I really just want the best option for my interests that can help me advance at the associates degree level both personally and financially. Any advice is appreciated! I don’t expect anyone to “choose” for me, just some educated advice. Thanks.

Psychology/Sociology, with a Bachelor Degree. This would cover a broad area. A master’s usually needs a G.P.A. of 3.0 or better.
