The Yakovlev Yak-28 was a swept wing, turbojet-driven battle aircraft used by the Soviet Union. Produced to begin with as a bomber, it was also manufactured in reconnaissance, electronic warfare, interceptor, and coach versions, known by the NATO reporting names Brewer, Firebar, and Maestro respectively. Based on The Yak-129 prototype first flown on 5 March 1958, it started to enter services in 1960.
It was initial noticed by the West at the Tushino air display in 1961. Western analysts to begin with believed it to be a fighter relatively than an attack aircraft — and a continuation of the Yak-25M, at that — and it was designated ‘Flashlight’. Following its precise purpose was understood, the Yak-28 bomber collection was redesignated ‘Brewer’.
Whole generation of all Yak-28s was one,180. The Yak-28P was withdrawn in the early 1980s, but coach and other versions soldiered on until finally following the drop of the Soviet Union, flying till at the very least 1992. The recce and ECM aircraft had been at some point replaced by variants of the Sukhoi Su-24.
Description
The Yak-28 had a huge mid-mounted wing, swept at 45 degrees. The tailplane set midway up the vertical fin (with reduce-outs to permit rudder movement). Slats are fitted on the leading edges and slotted flaps are mounted on the trailing edges of the wings. The two Tumansky R-eleven turbojet engines, originally with fifty seven kN (12,795 lbf) thrust each and every, are mounted in pods, equivalent to the prior Yak-twenty five. The wing-mounted engines and bicycle-variety major landing gear (supplemented by outrigger wheels in fairings in close proximity to the wingtips) are extensively spaced, making it possible for most of the fuselage to be employed for gasoline and devices. It was primarily transonic, even though Mach one could be exceeded at large altitude. It was on an Yak-28 that captain Boris Kapustin and lieutenant Yuri Yanov created their heroic feat: on the sixth of April 1966, when one of the engines on their aircraft stopped, they managed to divert their plane from a housing estate in Berlin. Equally heroes ended up posthumously awarded with the medal of the Red Banner. Their bodies, along with the wreckage, have been elevated from the lake by British troops.

What can i do with a AA degree in general studies?

AA Degree General

Question by ChristLover: What can i do with a AA degree in general studies?
Im going to get a AA degree. It’s a ‘general studies’ degree, so no certain ‘major’ or anything. What can i do with this? Is it worth the time? I can go on to get a BS or BA right? I have no idea wtf im doing. Advice please!
I have been out of school for 7 years now, i have NO IDEA what i want to do. MAYBE psychology, and maybe something to do with health information technology. But really i just dont know what i want to do with my life, let alone know what degree to get. HELP!

Answer by Digital Haruspex
A general studies degree is quite reasonable to have for someone who isn’t sure what they want to pursue as a career. You’ll have a broad base education that can now allow you to go for a B.A. or B.S. in pretty much anything you want. If you’re truly unsure what field you want a degree in, which it sounds like, you can talk to counsellor when you enroll and they may be able to help. Likely they’ll have you take some sort of aptitude test to see where your interests and strengths are and match you up with some fields that may interest you. Your problem certainly isn’t uncommon so they’ll have lots of experience helping you choose a degree to go after.

By the way, I believe most colleges will let you enroll without declaring a major for the first two years. During that time you’ll be taking the general education courses that everyone, or most students, have to have. By your third year you can declare a major and begin your “real” studies. If that’s the case for the college you apply to then you’ll have a good two years to decide what your degree will be in.

Good luck to you!

Q&A: Can univerisities require a general education credit if you already have your AA degree?

Question by ducks_and_daisies710: Can univerisities require a general education credit if you already have your AA degree?
I just transferred in to a university after completing my generals (AA degree) at a community college. I found out after I registered for classes that the university that I am attending requires an additional credit of lifelong health and fitness/phy.ed. I was wondering if any one knows if colleges can just add an extra credit that is not normally required? I feel it is unfair that I have to waste my money and time on another gen. ed. class when I have already met the phy.ed. gen. ed. requirement.
P.S. My credits transferred from the community college. The university just requires an extra credit of Phy. Ed.

You can try to speak to an advsior about it. They let people opt out of taking a class and get credit for certain things.

Where can I transfer to in college after an AA degree for general requirements?

Question by Luke56: Where can I transfer to in college after an AA degree for general requirements?
So Im getting my AA Liberal Arts degree in General studies at a community college to transfer to a 4 year college, but I don’t really want to go to a 4 year college after my degree is over. Is their any other options that I can transfer my degree to? not the military….just not for me. Maybe just like a college that’s only a year long? I would like to major in General business, but Idk. Thanks.

Best answer:

Answer by eri
There isn’t a one year degree you can get. You could earn your bachelors in 2 years at college if you don’t pick a major that has a ton of requirements you haven’t started, or you could switch the major you have from ‘nothing’ to business.

What do you think? Answer below!
