Q&A: I have a AA degree in general studies from a community college.?

Query by e-book reader: I have a AA diploma in general studies from a neighborhood school.?
I just lately did some study on line and discovered some classes in library science that I would like to require that could be valuable in my occupation but was wondering if I require a Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree
to consider the classes that attraction to me in young grownup literature.
Does any one particular have any assistance for me?
I may also go speak to my supervisor about this at the library where I operate.
I don’t really want to get the courses like cataloging and classifying etc simply because that is not my interest.
The closest faculty to me is in Columbia, Missouri.
What degree would be beneficial or go collectively well with a library science diploma?

They verify controls in financial reporting processes and evaluate whether such controls are adequately designed and operating effectively. Controls are adequate if they detail step-by-step procedures, clear decision-making rules and hierarchies of accountability in case of breach. Effective controls correct or mitigate—that is, temporarily correct—internal weaknesses for which they are built.

Financial Analysts: Financial analysts use business and accounting skills to evaluate financial data and perform analytical procedures to detect trends or industry developments. They also use statistical tools to gauge segments’ performance and work with budget analysts to recommend adjustments in fund allocations to nonperforming areas. Analytical procedures evaluate relationship between account groups or ratios between income statement items.

Budget Analysts: Budget analysts compare historical and current financial data to detect business performance ratios or key operating indicators. Such ratios could include profit margins, return on equity or inventory turnover. Profit margins equal profits over sales. Return on equity indicates how profitably firms use owners’ funds; it is equal to net income over equity. Inventory turnover explain how quickly entities sell inventories and replenish their stocks.

Thomas Pearson, MD, Ph.D. Professor, University of Rochester School of Medicine. Genetics for Epidemiologists: Applications of Human Genomics to Population Sciences, was a short course for investigators and trainees in the field of epidemiology and related population-based sciences. It was conducted by the National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI) on May 13-14, 2008 at Northwestern University in Chicago. The goal of Genetics for Epidemiologists (GFE) was to familiarize epidemiologists and population-based researchers with recent developments in the theory and methods of human genetics that might be applied to the study of the distribution, natural history and etiology of diseases in populations. The course consisted of eight one-hour lectures and focused on the interface between genetics and epidemiology. Emphasis was on the application of modern human genome analysis methodologies to studies of human populations through the design, conduct, analysis, and interpretation of studies which effectively answer the epidemiologic question of interest. GFE is co-sponsored by the Office of Population Genomics, NHGRI, and the Department of Preventive Medicine at Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine. GED: The Key to Better Jobs and Higher Education

Recently, a student wrote on a GED message board: “I was told over and over again when I was growing up that I am stupid and don’t amount to anything.” This student’s brother tells her that only losers get a GED, and that if she wasn’t a loser, she would have finished high school. Unfortunately, this is the kind of experience that many young people have in life. Without support, they fail in high school and drop out, leaving millions of American adults with no high school diploma. The brother’s response puts her in a no-win situation, basically saying that she’s closed all the doors open to her, and now she can only be a “loser.”

Far from being something for “losers,” the GED is a chance for people to turn their lives around. Staying in the same place, with a low paying job, or no job at all, and low self-esteem is not the answer. The GED is the path to get back on track, and one of the best roads it can lead to is college.

Recently, three students who earned their GEDs at New Mexico State University were profiled in the Cibola Beacon. All three have gone on to succeed in college, on their ways to new careers. Stefanie Grandjean, mother of a seven-year-old daughter, is studying to become a nurse with a graduate degree, as well as teaching math to other students studying for their GEDs.

Arnold Davis also works for the GED program where he studied for his GED. He is studying for a degree in automotive mechanics and is active in student government. His future goals include earning a degree in social work. Sandra Daily, who earned her GED in 2006, already has an AA in general studies and is planning to get a degree in fine arts. Over the course of three months, she went from grade-school level to being ready for college.

The GED is a step forward, toward more confidence, higher education, and better jobs. It is a path toward tearing down those walls built up by voices saying, “You’re stupid.” Just succeeding at the GED goes a long way toward students regaining belief in themselves.
