What matters as a Florida college transfer student?

Currently, I’m a freshman at Broward Community College and was recently accepted into the Honors Institute at Broward College. My major is Criminology/Criminal Justice.

After earning my AA degree I hope to transfer to University of Florida. Being that millions of dollars have been taken away from education in Florida, UF are accepting less transfer students. What other factors do you think can increase my chances of being accepted into University of Florida as a transfer student?

Currently, I have a 3.89 gpa and I’m a member of Black Student Union, Phi Theta Kappa and the Honors Institute…. If anyone has any tips or advice please help me and your opinions will be greatly appreciated..

Can I get into UCF without a final official transcript?

Question by Joey: Can I get into UCF without a final official transcript?
I applied to UCF for the Spring 2010 semester and have checked my status on myucf. In the undergrad admissions section it says that they have received an initial official transcript, but I still need to send a final official transcript. I called and spoke to undergrad admissions and was told that a final transcript means a transcript after I will no longer be attending my current institution. I will be continuing to attend Florida Atlantic University this semester. Can I be accepted without submitting a final official transcript? If it helps, I have an AA degree from Broward Community College and some coursework from FAU as well.

You are accepted already but it is pending your final transcript. Basically they want to make sure you didn’t play around and fail your classes in the final semester and that you are keeping on track for your overall goal. If they don’t get your final transcript before the Spring semester starts, they may pull your acceptance.
